Everyone enjoyed it.

I’ll pass.

And plus, since everyone has been so positive about it, I would have to of course be the negative. But alas, there is nothing to be negative about.

I mean sure it is some guy running around in a bat suit, but the whole first movie did a pretty good job explaining all of that mess.

And there’s no Robin… so what could I possibly complain about?

Verdict: Like it matters… you’ve already seen it

If only that was my only problem with this movie…

This movie is about how smart monkeys really are, how they can survive excessive g-forces in space while being sucked through wormholes, and evolutionary retarded creatures on another planet.

They can have the smart monkeys that get to travel in space, I mean this is a children’s movie after all… but the design of the off-world creatures just makes me want to lower the imdb rating for this movie even more (it’s currently a 3.8).

Slave like reptilian things, gummy bears that combine to take larger shapes, stingrays that are not only giant and ride able but also have machine gun esq spike launchers, and vines that also can shoot out spikes. I wish that was it… but alas, one of the sub-heroes of the story happens to be what I can only describe as something that would make Darwin cry.

Imagine a small bodied, giant rubbery headed, thing… that lights up, sings loudly, and freezes in place whenever frightened. And oh my is this thing easily frightened. It would have made sense if this creature was killed off almost immediately after it was found, as would be the result if one truly existed, but instead they somehow managed to act as if its curse was in fact a skill.

Its annoying little screech and light up face is used as a deterrent against a generic evil alien and then after being eaten alive, get this, it passes though the aliens body whole and escapes after being pooped out.

I wish I was joking…

Verdict: This movie made me stupider

If this novel was meant to be a call against conformism and false happiness, then Huxley failed according to me. By no mean am I saying that this is not a good work (I found it stimulating and captivating), but while reading it I couldn’t help but imagine how cool it would be to live in such a world.

Living in a world where you were raised to thrive in a certain environment and then are put into such an environment, it seems like Huxley discovered the easy way to wide spread happiness. Oh, and if you’re unhappy for any reason, just take some soma and all your worries will fade away.

How anyone could attempt to attack said society, without at least acknowledging its achievement, is beyond me…
